AlumierMD Hydraclaritè Moisturiser – Review

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this moisturiser yet! I bought this around June 2019 when I first started getting my peels – it was one of the first Alumier products I bought! Their products are all medical-grade, which means that there’s a higher level of the more important or active ingredients that will actually make a difference to your skin, rather than a sprinkling of an ingredient just to be able to state that it contains it.

Alumier do a few different moisturisers, however this one is aimed at oily/combination skin. It contains hinokitol & sea whip which helps soothe skin & reduce redness. It also contains alantonin & honey to maintain the skins moisture. It has a very ‘medical’ scent in my opinion. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely a strong scent – I’ve grown to love it.

The texture is in between a gel & a cream – that’s the closest I can come to to describing it! It has a yellowy tint to it too. You only need one pump to do your whole face. I used to use this in the mornings, but I found the Alumier SPF was enough to moisturise & protect my skin for the day time.

I now use this every evening alongside my Alumier Ultimate Boost serum. I absolutely love this moisturiser. It is the most effective one I think I’ve ever used – I’m on my third bottle! I never normally repurchase skincare products three times!

I found this especially amazing for pre-makeup application. If you are extremely oily, this is the moisturiser for you! As soon as I apply this to my skin, it absorbs in almost instantly & dries down leaving me with a matte finish to my skin, without it feeling dried out or dehydrated!

Even if you have oily skin, you still have to moisturise! Definitely give this one a go if you’re looking for one that doesn’t add to the shine! This also makes your skin look great on its own on no makeup days – it soothes & reduces the appearance of redness & really does keep the shine at bay! I love it!
