Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Foam – Review

I’m very weary when it comes to self tanning due to my extremely pale, see-through skin! I’ve never really used tanning products & I most certainly have never had a spray tan! Lord above if I had one & come out looking like an antique stained piece of furniture, I think I’d die! 

I’ve been fortunate enough this year to bask in the sun quite a lot – I’ve got old Covid & lockdown to thank for that! Three months off work & I’d built the most amazing tan I’ve ever had in my life! I had some colour to me – and I was loving it! 

Fast forward to the end of June when I got summoned back to my job & I could see my hard work fading away as the days went by! I had to try a self tanning foam! Bondi Sands seemed pretty safe so I thought I’d give it a go.

I wanted something with a guide for my first time, otherwise god knows how I’d have turned out! I did shave & exfoliate my legs before applying this too.

The foam was super easy to apply, I used a Bondi mitt to apply it. It was smooth & soaked in really well. It also smells bloody amazing. Quite a sweet smell, but not your typical fake tan scent. The instructions said to leave it an hour and a half & then to wash on. You can leave it longer for a deeper tan. I left it on for 2 and a half hours – only because I forgot! 

Once rinsed off, my skin didn’t feel tacky or smell funny at all! I had a gorge, healthy glow to my legs & it looked amazingly natural! 

The other thing that had put me off tanning was how patchy some people get after having fake tan on for a few days. I literally cannot be arsed for that shit! 

I was pleasantly surprised when this fake tan faded evenly over the course of a week! I didn’t have any patches, it didn’t look fake/orange/green. I just looked like I was losing a natural tan! After the first day, I did moisturise every evening over the top of it, so I’m sure that helped too!

I haven’t been brave enough to try this on my whole body yet! I’ll save that for when I have time off work just in case! But I am very surprised at how easy this tan was to apply & rinse off. It’s also got the added bonus of streak-free fading! 

If you’re deathly pale like myself but you want to try out having a bit of colour, definitely give this foam a try! You cannot go wrong with this, it’s fool proof, even for a novice like myself!
