Lush Cosmetics Full of Grace Serum

I’m finally back! It’s been a long while since I’ve written a post! I’ve meddled with YouTube, but struggled with my bad skin on camera, and really missed typing up these reviews, so I’ve come back!

To kick off my first blog post in forever, I thought I’d review a brand new product I’d never tried from Lush until about a month ago.

I wanted to try something different to a moisturiser (can you believe their moisturisers have all gone up by around £2?!), and I loved the look of the ingredients in Full of Grace. It contains Rose oil, camomile blue & mushrooms – all good ingredients for redness/acne. It costs £8.25 for the bar – it’s a lot smaller than I thought it’d be. I don’t know why, I imagined it to be around the same size as a massage bar – definitely not!

This is very moisturising. It has an oily texture. The way this is supposed to be applied is to warm it between your fingers first. I found this very fiddly. Now I rub the bar straight on my face. I put a few swipes on my cheeks and forehead, then massage it in with my fingers. I like to apply this an hour or two before bed as it takes a while to sink in. I can’t wear this under makeup during the day. I think everything would just slip and slide around. When I wake up, I can visibly see less redness and my skin feels so smooth! When I first read reviews before purchasing, a lot of people were put off by the smell. But I love it. I can’t explain what it smells of. It’s quite earthy, but also smells calming, if that makes sense?! I only use this 3-4 times per week as I am worried the oiliness will clog my pores using it nightly. The nights I don’t use it, I don’t use any products on my skin to let it breathe.

Two downsides. As you can see from the second photo, it’s looking a little hairy. That’s not from poor storage. That was literally 30 seconds after opening it for the first time! Do not drop this on a hairy jumper – it will attract all bits! Secondly, linking to the first, storing this is a bitch. So far I’ve kept it in the little wrapping it comes in from the store. I might buy a little tin from Lush to store it in, seems like the only place it’ll stay clean and hygienic.

Overall this bar has evened out some of my uneven texture. It’s lasted a long time, I’ve had it a month so far and can barely see any usage. I think I would repurchase this, even though it’s a pain to store. If you have eczema, psoriasis or rosacea, I think this would be a product to try for sure if you’ve tried everything else! It’s soothing and natural. I thought it was quite pricey to begin with, but after using it, I can see it lasts a long time, making it worth £8.25!

Let me know if you’ve tried this product before and your thoughts on it. I’m pleasantly surprised by it!
