NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Cake Powder

Ok, let’s talk about Nyx Cosmetics! I discovered this when I was browsing Very‘s site for beauty products. I’d heard of NYX before, it was described as an amazing quality brand with cheap products! I’d been using Benefits Browzings before I found this. That was what inspired me to go on a manhunt for another brow product. I didn’t like how wax products made my brows look greasy! I wanted a more natural look!

So I found this, and thought it was just what I was looking for! I went for the shade dark brown. I have quite light hair, but my brows are so dark, and it doesn’t look silly, so I thought I’d keep them dark. I got this for around £6, which I think is amazing! It feels like it’s gonna last forever, I haven’t even made a dent in it yet! It comes with two powders, one slightly darker than the other, a wax, spoolie brush and an applicator brush.

So this is my brow before any product. Please excuse the face mask. I’d put it on and then realised I needed to take a before pic as I’d lost the original! But you get the gist of it. My brows are really sparse. To be fair, they have thickened up a lot over the past six months.  So what I do first is get the spoolie brush and just brush my brows in an upward motion. I then get the applicator brush (which is pretty good actually!) and dip it in both colours to mix them up. I use them both at the same time because I feel it gives me the perf shade. So I do my filling and brushing etc etc. I then go back over my brows and brush them into place with the spoolie brush, this blends the product into a more natural shade and puts my brows into place. Now like I said before, I didn’t like how wax made my brows look greasy, so the  only place I apply this is on my arch to keep it in place. It works amazingly! It keeps it in place all day!

So this is the end result! I don’t know why the pic is so blurry, it was fine when I took it! But you can see my brow is nicely filled out, it looks strong and not greasy at all!

I love this product because it’s so easy to apply, you can’t go wrong with this at all. It’s also so cheap! And if I can save some money, then I’m not complaining! Try this product if you’ve never used a powder product before, if you’re sick of waxes, I promise this will be a godsend! I find powder just so much easier to work with! Let me know your thoughts!
